Susan Brigden, the Huntington Library’s inaugural Mary Robertson Visiting Fellow in Tudor Studies, will be opening this year’s USC-Huntington EMSI British History Seminar. Her paper is entitled “Reading Orlando Furioso at the Court of Henry VIII.”
Her talk will be at the Huntington Library in Seaver 1&2 in the Munger Research Center at 10:00am on Saturday, September 13. (Coffee and the traditional donuts served at 9:30.) [See previous post for details.]
The convenors of the seminar would like to invite graduate students to join Dr. Brigden for lunch at the Huntington’s café following her talk. All seminar attendees are welcome, but grad students are particularly welcome to spend this conversational time with seminar presenters. Dr. Brigden will be talking more casually about how she approaches her research and is looking forward to meeting grad students.
Lunches may be purchased at the café, or you may bring your own. No RSVP required.
